Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Have you ever heard of a quiet preschool classroom? My class is the opposite of quiet. My students live in a low income area in the city. Our students are always ready to learn and help others. Many of our students depend on our school lunches and snacks for daily meals. We love to host fundraisers and collect donations for our families. We know they try to do their best, and, with our help, we can help their children succeed.
My Project
The items I am asking for in my project will help make lasting memories in preschool. Many students forget about their preschool experiences, but when a child has a pillow case or their hand print on a key chain, they can have lasting memories. I have students from the past classes tell me how much fun we had in preschool, and I would like to help other students have a lasting memory by having students sign pillow cases with each other's names on them. Then I would use the iron-on sheet to print a poem onto it before the students each sign their names. Parents would love to have a key chain with their child's hand print to remind them of all the fun they had in my class. With the Shrinky Dink materials, I can use the stamp pad to put their hand prints onto the sheets and make it into a key chain. Please help me make my lasting memory dreams come true for my classroom. Thank you for your help!
