This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Hi! Let me tell you a little bit about all the beautiful minds in our school.

Our sixth, seventh, and eighth grade English Language Learners are really eager to learn English and to be part of the American culture.

They come to school with a huge smile on their faces and they embrace their daily challenges with great attitude.

They work very hard to acquire as much English as they can during instructional days. I am really blessed for being able to help such a diverse population of students in our school.

My Project

Once we receive the headphones, our English Language Learners will be able to use them to listen to read-aloud passages, e-books, and other resources that will help them increase their English Language Proficiency and boost their reading comprehension.

The headphones will make a huge difference in our students' learning.

They need as much exposure to the language as they can have in order to become fluent speakers and great readers. We plan on utilizing it during Guided Reading groups to boost their listening skills and their reading comprehension. We will use them with a program that has reading passages read aloud to students.
