This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Help us listen! Our math class recently obtained iPads for student use. This has been a great addition to the classroom. Many apps or web programs have sound that can be distracting. Headphones would help students work individually and meet their academic needs.

We are a Title 1, low income school, who believes in using technology as an important tool to help the students enter the 21st Century.

My students are a diverse group with a wide range of learning needs. This technology allows me to differentiate instruction for each student. The students love using the iPads but the activities and lessons require sound to complete. It is hard for the students to concentrate when they can hear the sound from their neighbors' iPads.

My Project

As an educator, I have to find different ways to teach my students the math skills they need. Differentiated instruction helps my students learn great math skills. I believe using iPads with headphones will help me take each student to their individual next level.

Your donation will allow students to focus on their work, which is essential to helping them strengthen their math skills.

In order for my students to work individually, they need headphones so they do not interrupt each other.
