My Students

"Sit still" is not a phrase in our vocabulary! We are an amazing, high energy, socioeconomically diverse, Northern NY 4th grade class!

Learning today is much different than in the past.

Students need to move. They need to wiggle and move around. That's where you come in! Our class has flexible seating options for our diverse students. We have some alternative seating but need more. Mrs. Hull believes in what flexible seating can do for our class. We CAN concentrate and listen but we need to move around! And we need YOUR help!

My Project

We are an active 4th grade class! We use flexible seating...students choose where they sit daily. Wherever they choose to sit, it helps them be their best "learning self." If a student can’t abide by the rules, I simply move him or her to another chair somewhere else. This is rarely done because students are excited to choose their own seat. It assists with learning and behavior.

We have a variety of seating, however we are in need of more.

Our stools were purchased out of pocket at a discount store and didn't hold up. Ball chairs are not financially feasible. We would love a few more options for seating that will hold up. Please help us be the best we can be!
