Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Welcome to the new world of learning! Remotely or in person. I am the proud ESL teacher of a few low income Kindergarten and second grade bilingual classes in an urban city of New Jersey, who is discovering the new way of virtual teaching! It is so exciting to see how motivated and enthusiastic the students are, even with all the challenges that we have been given. They are a great group of children, who not only are learning a new language in a new country, but now are facing the challenges of distance learning, but yet are striving to learn. I will not let any circumstance come in the way of educating my students. Our "Blue Ribbon" school strives to give our students the proper education, no matter what the situation might be. Education is our first priority, even from afar!
My Project
Distance learning has become the new way of educating my students. Due to the circumstances of this year, our district has decided to shift to full virtual instruction. The teachers are teaching and the students are learning, through the world of technology and internet.
In order to educate my students properly, from my home into theirs, a few supplies are needed to make my lessons come to life and be affective for my students.
The document camera will allow me to project my books, worksheets, or notes while at the same time allow me to move around the room with ease and still be seen by my students. The stand up, dry erase board will give me the convenience and stability to write on my dry erase board during a lesson and the flip charts will help to capture any material I wish to save for another lesson. In whichever way they are used, these materials will create an imaginable place for education.
