We are part of a big school filled with diversity and motivated learners. We have a great school community that fosters learning and independence. Our school is a Title I school with most students qualifying for free and reduced-price breakfasts and lunches.
My students love to learn and are very curious about the world.
They are respectful, responsible, and resilient. My students are so excited to learn new things and are becoming better readers every day. It is a pleasure to come in every day and teach such motivated learners! My goal each year is to teach not only the standards and curricula, but to go beyond and teach each whole child.
My students are currently beginning to look at conventional books with print. These Guided Reading Collections Level A and B are just right for most of my students at this point in the year. These books will make a difference in my student's classroom because they will have exposure to multiple books on their level. This will help my students grow as readers and practice the reading skills I am teaching them daily.
My students are so excited and motivated to begin reading!
They have begun to notice some sight words and are trying to sound out some words. I cannot wait to nurture this love for reading and watch them bloom as readers!
