My Students

Greetings! Our school is a very special place where students are encouraged to put forth effort into their education and build positive relationships with each other. As teachers, we have high expectations for our students to rise up and make achievements in academics, behavior choices, and learn to be respectful both inside and outside of the classroom. We strive to offer the best instruction and enriching resources to help our students succeed. Often times, our school's financial capacity is stretched thin and we need to reach out for funding to provide for our students.

My Project

Our students will benefit from this kit of Targeted Phonics Books to help them develop into budding readers and grow with confidence. This phonics kit includes books, lesson plans, and activities that are geared towards the very beginning stages of reading, which is perfect for our Kindergartners! This project will make a huge difference in our guided reading program. Research shows that a systematic phonics supports early readers. The phonics lessons build in difficulty and focus on word-families in a story-like format. The kit also include digital versions of the books to read together in large groups, and a home-connection pack to support family engagement.
