My Students

Welcome to our 5th/6th bilingual class!

My students are excited to come to school every day and are eager to learn!

Almost all of the kids are immigrants and live below the poverty line. They need learning resources and school supplies to help them achieve their academic goals. Without donors like you, it wouldn't be possible. Thanks for considering our classroom proposals!

This project will give my students the ability to pick from books they love and at their individual reading level. Independent reading encourages students to apply all of the skills they learn at school. These book sets will help my students improve their reading skills because they appeal to a variety of interests and are at a variety of reading levels.

My Project

My classroom library is a place that my students really enjoy- either we read together or they read independently! My bookworms love to check out books and read whenever they can. My librarians take good care of the books and the students are thankful for the opportunities to read. All of these books have been chosen with my students in mind-I have watched them read titles just like these, and I have also asked them what type of books they would enjoy reading.

With these new books, my students will be able to choose from a variety of books that will allow them to read independently at their own reading level.

They will also be able to choose books that interest them. I believe the best way to increase reading ability is to read more, and these books will continue to help my students grow stronger in reading.

Thanks so much for considering my project!
