Help me give my students the ability to learn about alternative sources of energy, at home! These 65 kits will be sent to the homes of all third graders, who will have the opportunity to explore energy!

My Students

My students are creative, energetic, and ready to run out and save the world! In our environmental science classroom, we use hands-on projects with plants to learn about the effects of climate change. We also build invented devices to try to help the world. The next amazing invention could be from one of my students! These NYC students love to build and come up with their own experiments, and there is no stopping them! I can't wait to see what they will create next!

My Project

Third grade students are natural inventors, so let's help them learn how to convert wind energy into mechanical energy! These wind energy kits will be sent to the homes of all third graders while they are quarantined. Their siblings will also participate, but the third graders will get to build and invent an experiment to test out for our virtual science fair!! At the virtual science fair, each third grader will have 1.5 minutes to show the project, both how the wind can make things move up and down in a pulley, and what type of unique experiment was tested.
