Hello! I have the best students with autism ever! They are all very different, with many strengths and some things they are working on. Our kiddos go to school at a Title 1 school, which means many students are considered low income.
Teaching a child with autism about social skills is as important as teaching them to read!
Because they all have autism, they need direct instruction in the area of social skills and self-regulation. We have some great resources for this, but need more to give them the best instruction they deserve!
My Project
These materials will help my students work on the skills of communication, working with others, feelings, and self-regulation. This will help them have a better school and life experience! Our students deserve the best instruction available!
Communication and learning to work better with others is critical to our daily lives!
Using the conversation cubes, games and books will help my students learn the skills they need to make friends and participate in class. The cooperative games are so useful to help our students practice work together and how to deal with unexpected moments. The materials will provide hands on experiences that are so critical for learning! Thanks for your help!
