My Students

Our ninth grade science class is a Physical Science class. One semester is dedicated to Chemistry. The other semester is dedicated to Physics. The Chemistry students follow a college prep curriculum.

All students are eager to learn using new, interactive, web-based simulations along with traditional lab activities.

Every class will be able to benefit from our project proposal. Since we do not have our own class set of computers, these will fill a great need in our room.

The tablets will be small and convenient for use in science classes. They are not too large to be in the way, yet big enough to provide the information that we are attempting to understand.

My Project

Students today are connected to the Internet for most every aspect of life. These tablets will allow our students to connect to the Internet for a multitude of learning opportunities.

The number one goal will be to use online science simulations.

These new simulations are often better than the "old fashioned" lab activities (which are becoming too expensive). These new simulations also provide the chance to manipulate more variables than are possible with other lab activities.

The tablets can also be used for basic research and to help promote understanding in various ways. We will be able to learn using modern technology that our students are familiar and comfortable with.
