My Students

My students are amazing! They come from low income families and face challenges in and out of the classroom every day. They are creative, bright, and so full of life. My students look forward to learning and coming to school every day! Some have never been to school before starting Kindergarten. Some have been to preschool and Transitional Kindergarten. Every one of them comes to school excited for the day, with a positive attitude! My students really love to read and learn!

My Project

Students and families are being forced into a very difficult school experience with schools being closed. Not only are they having to figure out using school iPads, being connected to the internet, and technology, but parents are also managing working from home and teaching their children.

Kindergartners need to write!

They cannot only learn from staring at a screen. They need to use a pencil and paper. They need to turn pages in books. They cannot be forced to look at an iPad or computer for 1-2 hours a day for school.

Many of my families do not have access to a printer. They are trying their absolute best to get paper and write things down for their children but they need help! Please help me give them leveled books and writing paper at home!
