Help me give my students the classroom they deserve and need, with things like magnetic dry erase boards, a laminator, and a few basic supplies we are missing.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are full of smiles and hugs and eager to learn! They’re very active, and enjoy lots of movement. They love stories, music and movement, and learning!
However, in addition to their many strengths, they also have many risk factors which includes living in poverty, the inner city, and being exposed to the Flint Water Crisis.
Our children are very competent and capable, we are resilient, and I am determine to give them the classroom that they all deserve!
My Project
As a teacher new to my school and grade level, my classroom is missing some of the basic classroom materials to help with our learning. I would like to make sure as much as possible that the children can learn in developmentally appropriate ways, and reduce the amount of worksheets we do, but do not have the proper materials to support that.
Our children deserve the best classroom experience possible, with the proper materials to support their learning.
Please help us with some classroom basics, like dry erase boards for our mathematics and writing, a laminator to create reusable learning materials and reduce paper use, timers for centers and social emotional skills, and manipulatives so that we can break away from worksheets and do hands on learning. By having these materials, our classroom will be much more hands-on and age appropriate for the children.
