Help Us Learn American History!

My students need 15 copies each of the books Thanksgiving on Thursday, Pilgrims: A Nonfiction Companion to Thanksgiving on Thursday and Revolutionary War on Wednesday. These books are from the Magic Tree House Series by Mary Pope Osborne.

Hello! I am a fourth grade teacher at an urban public elementary school in New York. All of my 22 students receive free lunch. My students truly enjoy reading. We are now in the process of learning about the colonial period and will also study the revolutionary period. I would like to continue to enhance their joy for reading, writing, and social studies through historical fiction book clubs. The books that I am requesting are three books from the Magic Tree House Series written by Mary Pope Osborne. These books are a great tool for motivating my students to learn about history. I would like the students to work in book clubs so they can have conversations around this period in American history. In order to do this, multiple copies of these books are needed. This will allow the students to have better conversations around the same book, and develop better interpersonal skills. As a lover of reading myself, I cannot imagine a world without being able to indulge in great books. Please help me to promote reading while teaching about American history.
