Help Us Learn About Science!

My students need materials to complete the learning centers in our new classroom. Specifically, I have requested items for Dramatic Play and Science, including magnifiers, magnet sets, and "Lots to Love" babies.

My Students

It has been proven that young children learn best through play and exploration. As we enter into the coming school year, I want my students to be given the maximum opportunity to learn. In order to do this, I need more materials! We are in a new classroom with limited supplies.

My students are an energetic, eager-to-learn bunch of 3-5 year-old kids.

They learn, play and grow in ways unique to each other, which is fascinating and exciting! They love coming to school everyday to explore and learn through their play. They enjoy singing, dancing, small group time, recess, mealtimes and CENTER TIME! Two of their favorite centers are science and dramatic play.

My Project

In order to maximize these students' ability to learn, we need to provide materials that stretch their thinking and encourage their learning. By providing baby dolls and clothes, students will have the opportunity to develop pretend play skills, which are developmentally appropriate and an expected element of Creative Curriculum objectives. The requested magnifying glasses and magnet set will give students the opportunity to study foreign objects close up and develop an understanding with the abstract concept of magnetism.

In many ways, I am starting from scratch with this classroom.

I want to be able to provide my students with the best opportunity to learn and be EAGER to learn. These materials will assist me with this goal, and will be appreciated by the students who benefit most. Thank you!
