My students need materials to help organize their learning space. We currently use containers from the dollar tree that don't hold up well.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Kindergarten classroom is a place where students come to learn their foundation skills which they will carry with them in their suitcase for a lifetime. For most of my students my classroom is their very first educational experience.
My main goal is to provide a safe and fun learning environment, in hopes that the students will instill the love of learning in their hearts.
Las Vegas is a very diverse city, as well as our classroom. We have students from many different backgrounds. When we enter the classroom we are an "Ohana" ("family" in the Hawaiian Language). Together we help each other succeed. We learn from each other and with one another.
Our school is a very small school. Everyone helps one another. As teachers we share and help each other daily. We set a good example of what team work looks like for our students.
My Project
My students need a place to hold their learning tools. We currently use containers from the dollar tree that don't hold up well. They end up breaking and students have to put their tools in a Ziploc bag. Providing us with a caddy will help keep our tables neat and organized.
My students would like to conserve paper by using reuseable write and wipe boards.
This will help us use less paper and will last for many years.
We need a timer to help us keep track of our learning time. We want to make sure that we use our time wisely. Having a big timer will allow students to see exactly how much time they have left to complete their tasks.
Our Alphabet stamps in our learning center is very old and some of the rubber has fallen off on some letters. We need to replace them to make sure each letter is available.
