Children with communication difficulties need a fun and welcoming environment to learn these skills. New and entertaining therapy tools can be very expensive and that is why we need your help! Our therapy class is needing new games and therapy tools to help these students meet their goals and gain necessary skills that will be a lifelong benefit. Please help us purchase these items to learn and enjoy.
Good communication is the bridge between confusion and clarity.

My Project
Our classroom needs fun, interactive therapy tools to help us meet our communication goals. We work hard in speech therapy but we also like to have fun. We need a variety of seven different games, photo conversion cards and learning cards. The items requested will be used to meet multiple goals by multiple disability categories.
Playing games during therapy sessions is a reinforcement that encourages students to participate and do their best.
The requested sorting strip activity can be used in many different ways; sorting, categorizing, comparing, contrasting and vocabulary. The use of games such as "Ants In The Pants" and other manipulatives also promotes group participation and social skills (turn taking, group interaction) necessary for all students regardless of disability. The photo cards will be used to develop communication. Communication skills are necessary to effectively communicate wants, needs and thoughts to peers and teachers throughout the school day.
Please help us meet our goal to add new tools to enjoy and improve our communication skills.
