Help me give my students a Photography Video Studio Lighting Kit Umbrella Softbox Set Continuous Lighting for Photo Studio Product, Portrait and Video Shooting Photography and fine point drawing styluses to become digital artists in the 21st century!
My students are creative, inquisitive and love exploring different types of art media. Students can take Art 1 through Art IV and AP Visual Arts. Our Studio Space is set up so that they can explore ideas and media that interest their ideas while learning about artists in their local and global communities.
My students are big dreamers; they envision ways to communicate visually with enthusiasm!
My students plan art service projects, and ways to be a part of a larger art community. They have entered their work in local, regional, state, and national competitions. Many of our schools' former art students are teaching visual art or are professional artists. With the recent budget cuts, our program has not been able to provide our students with some of the materials they want to work in. Please help provide my students with a way to have all that they need to be creative visionaries!
My Project
These materials will help my students learn how to use photography and film making in the studio. Students will study contemporary artists like Cindy Sherman and Kehinde Wiley to create an art history self-portrait. They will dress up like paintings from the past, take their photograph using the green screen and lighting boxes to understand the importance of light on the subject. Students will use the styluses on their Chromebook tablets to paint effects learning how to use digital techniques that contemporary artists use. Engaging with their peers as the work collaboratively will help create excitement about art history and understanding our past, present, and future artistic vision!
