My Art Students love attending Art Class! They are enthusiastic about creating and exploring different types or art and mediums. I love giving them the opportunity to be creative, use their imagination and create a masterpiece.
My students have been through a lot this year with Hurricane Harvey and Art Class gives them an opportunity to learn and create.
Due to the storm, our school is only able to attend school for half a day at our High School campus 15 minutes away. We will be sharing classrooms and materials with the high school all year, due to the amount of water in our Middle School campus.

My Project
Our students need basketballs, basketball racks for the balls, practice pennies, water bottles for games and other items for practice. Our student athletes have a great deal of pride in our school and love the opportunity to compete in any level of athletics. This basketball season has been particularly difficult due to Hurricane Harvey and the lack of gym space and equipment to practice.
After Hurricane Harvey, our student athletes have had to share gym space and equipment with the High School and are in dire need of our own equipment.
These basketballs and practice equipment will help our student athletes not only in their basketball skills, but in their morale. They need practice materials like shooting dots and dribbling glasses to improve their skills and boost their self-esteem and confidence after a difficult year. For many of our students, playing basketball helps them regain some sort of normalcy as many had damaged homes from Hurricane Harvey.
Thank you for considering helping us rebuild our athletic department, beginning with our basketball program. You would be giving our students the opportunity to play a game they love, using quality and imperative equipment.
