My Students

I have the opportunity to work with great students every day. My students encounter several trials and tribulations. Some of the challenges my students face are financial and several students are faced with growing up in foster care or single-family homes. All in all, my students do not make excuses and show up on most days with an enthusiastic attitude and eagerness to work.

There is a saying, "Give a man a fish, he will eat for a day.

Teach a man to fish, he will eat for a lifetime." Please help me prepare my students to fish by providing us important vehicles to navigate these choppy waters while we fish.

My Project

My students watch a lot of videos about the game of basketball. Getting the students these books will open up another avenue besides looking at their screens. We travel a lot to games and there is always time in between games for them to read and be productive. However, our schools library has a limited selection of books relating to sports. The only basketball book we have at the school for checkout is Slam which is a really good book. I asked for a copy of it. I want to continue to add to these book and create my own basketball library for the students.
