Have you ever tried to listen to a program or interact with a computer site and gotten frustrated when you couldn't hear what it was asking or saying? My students have often been frustrated when they've tried to dictate their carefully and creatively scripted Photo Stories and videos.
I am fortunate to work with 89, energetic, eager to learn second graders in Florida.
My students are each unique, coming from various ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds. Our school is a public school from K-5th grade. We are a STEM magnet school, focused on science, technology, engineering and math. Our curriculum provides opportunities for students to create projects and demonstrate their learning through a variety of modalities.
My Project
These new headphones will provide the opportunity for students to record their scripts they've creatively designed for their Photo Stories and videos. They will also use these headphones to take their State and District testing that requires hearing and speaking responses. Currently, we do not have a class set of headphones. Unfortunately, we borrow old, broken headphones that do not have working audio or microphone connections. These new headphones will fill a critical need in our classroom.
Through your support of this project, you will enable my students to enjoy recording the script narration for their Photo Stories and videos, prepared from their research.
Also, you will enable my students to experience more confidence and less stress with their State and District testing with fully-functioning headphones.
