My students need items that will assist our classroom in maintaining a healthy and clean environment. I have requested Kleenex tissues, Clorox wipes, Scott paper towels, Germ-x, healthy bars and goldfish crackers for our room.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students come to school with the want to learn and create strong relationships in the classroom everyday. I work to be able to provide them with a safe, caring and supportive environment. I teach at a Title One school where all students receive free or reduced price lunch. Many do not come to school with basic supplies that are needed for day to day learning. All students come from various backgrounds and have varying hardships at home, but all have goals that I push them to achieve to the best of my ability. I want to provide my students the best opportunity to learn and explore new concepts in ways that make learning fun!
My Project
All of my students receive free or reduced price lunch daily. My students come to school with the want to learn and grow they are most effective when they attend school daily and are healthy! Research suggests that students who attend school regularly are more likely to achieve at higher levels than students who do not have regular attendance.
As a Title I school, we're faced with a limited budget for even the most essential items that help keep students healthy and at school.
This project will help my students stay healthy and focused on their goals by preventing illnesses through the use of hand sanitizer, clorox wipes, and tissues. Your donation will help students stay energized throughout their day as I can have classroom snacks available when they get hungry or come in past their free provided breakfast time. These supplies will help maintain a healthy classroom environment for my students, which keeps them learning year-round.
