My co-SLP and I support a hard working and enthusiastic group of diverse learners. In our elementary speech therapy room, we strive to engage and inspire our students as they work to strengthen their communication, written language and critical thinking skills.
Our 3K-5th grade students strive to be STARs: self managed, team players, accountable and respectful!
They are excited to get back into the school building and learn through story books, crafts, hands on projects, and technology
My Project
Speech sound cue cards will help our students learn sounds by giving them relatable visual cues. Many of our students struggle to produce speech sounds correctly. The Bjorem Speech Sound Cues cards can be used during articulation therapy to cue our students on how to produce sounds correctly. These cues are especially important this school year while we wear masks and cannot demonstrate correct production and provide cues/prompts using our mouths.
Many of our students have multiple articulation errors that make them difficult to understand.
The Cycles Intervention Cards will be used to treat children who use a lot of different phonological processes (error patterns) by targeting each process for a short amount of time and then cycling through other phonological processes allowing students to make growth and increase speech intelligibility.
The Articulation Story Books will help our students practice their speech sounds while working on literacy skills. Each book highlights and repeats in bold a specific target sound throughout the story and are the perfect way to keep our students engaged during articulation therapy.
