Our school is a unique, early college high school, nestled inside our local community college. It is open enrollment therefore we get students from all over eager to take advantage of the opportunities of earning an associates degree while also earning their high school diploma. Some students don't have the means to purchase needed supplies or our school doesn't have the budget to provide all the supplies we would like for our high achievers. Our students get to work at their own pace to accelerate the timeline to be college core ready and helping them in innovative ways to be more successful.
My Project
Graphing and working out word problem examples are a huge part of upper level mathematics. The use of whiteboards is a daily activity in my classroom, especially in math. Working examples by hand are easier to see on large graph boards. Having the ability to be mobile as well means the we can offer one-on-one tutoring outside our classroom. Understanding how to graph by hand as well as electronically is essential.
It would be a blessing to have these mobile whiteboards and graphs.
