My Students

I work at an amazing school that is completely dedicated to student success. The group of second grade students I have this year will benefit greatly from the opportunity to read, write, and learn in an environment that supports the developmental needs of 7-8 year-olds.

My students are incredible individuals with various needs and strengths that I strive to differentiate for on a personal level.

The progress my students have shown from their needs being met by generous donations is evident in the data and formative assessments I collect daily.

My Project

My classroom will move into our research-based writing unit within the next few weeks. Part of the unit involves us digitalizing our research. We will be working with a Kindergarten classroom to record animal research and designing habitats for each animal. The culminating activity will be a recording of their book and research. With the use of this requested Microsoft Surface Go tablet my students will be able to set up an actual recording studio to use.

Through the use of technology, students become more focused and excited about what they are learning, equating to a deeper level of understanding.
