My students are in 4th grade. Most of them come from low-income families. This means that they do not have access to many of the resources most of us take for granted. They love to learn and have fun while doing so. Their favorite thing is our flexible seating. They love being able to choose the seating option that works best for them each day. Being able to work where they choose keeps them engaged and loving learning at school.
My students are 4th graders who come from low socioeconomic homes. Many of them speak a language other than English as their first language. Some of them do not speak English at all. Many of them believe they can not/ will not do well in school. I am focused on changing their fixed mindsets into growth mindsets! This year we will be creating growth mindset binders and learning about the power of yet. My students cannot afford them, and neither can I so we need these binders to help our minds grow. Help my students believe in themselves and the power of yet!
