My Students

Budget cuts have left our school with little to spend on nonfiction books that capture students' attention and enlighten their minds.

Located in Rhode Island, our school has a percentage of low income students that designates it as a Title I school.

The students are bright, well-behaved and willing to learn, but the materials we have in the library are beginning to fall apart. Library funding has been reduced, and the library books need to be updated and replaced.

My Project

A variety of nonfiction books including How to Deal with Bullies, Bald Eagles, and Great White Sharks will help students learn about their community, including social problems like bullying, street signs and types of buildings. There are also a few animal books in the mix, because this is one of the subjects all children love to learn about.

By donating to this project, you will make a difference to the teachers and students at our school.

Teachers will be able to share current materials in their classrooms and children will be able to borrow books from the library that are not old and falling apart.
