My students need comfy alternative seating to help them get their wiggles out while continuing to be productive. These Wobble chairs will help them to focus and work at the same time!
As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to keep things simple and provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences.
My students are creative, kind, compassionate and love learning.
They love to read, write and love lots of positive attention. Many of them are being raised in single-parent households and receive a free lunch based on their socioeconomic status. These things may prevent them from getting ahead early in life and may not provide them with the life experiences many of us see as "typical." From the minute they walk in the door of my classroom, I focus on their potential and growth while they are with me. I may not be able to control their home lives; however, I can certainly control their experience during the school day.
My Project
For this project I am requesting three Wobble seats for my students. I currently have one in my classroom and it is always requested and always in use.
These Wobble seats will help my students continue to move their bodies while helping to keep their minds focused on their class assignments.
For some children alternative seating makes the difference between being successful and not completing daily assignments. Having three more wobble seats would help me to help more students to focus and be successful. With your support I will be able to help more of my students focus without having to leave the room for motor breaks!
