My students need tuning forks to study sound, bacteria growing kits, prisms to refract light, thermometers, listening center, and activity kits to make science pop.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I love science! It is especially interesting when you get your hands involved. My young scientists need hands-on materials that will make our science concepts pop into action. These science kits will make a world of difference. The listening center will also help my struggling readers grasp concepts.
My students are enthusiastic about learning and easily excited with even the smallest things.
We are from a high poverty area, and we do not have a lot of hands-on science materials. We would like to change that! I would like to provide them with these hands-on experiences, so that science concepts will become imprinted in their brilliant brains. Who knows, maybe we will create a future scientist?
My Project
We will use these science kits, hands-on materials, and listening center to make out science concepts come alive. The gift of witnessing science before your eyes is an irreplaceable experience. I do not just want to tell them about sound and light, I want them to be able to use the tuning forks and prisms to discover this concepts. I am so excited about their growing bacteria; this will bring the animal kingdoms to life for them. The science kits as well offer many activities teaching the standards that we have to know.
Many people, including my budding scientists, learn by doing.
These materials will provide them with the experiences they deserve. These experiences will provide my science classes with excitement, inspiration, and a desire to know more.
