Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Do you remember how much you looked forward to recess? Of course kids these days are the same! After working so hard in the classroom for hours my students need to release their energy.

I have 25 third grade students who are full of energy!

These students attend a public school with a good combination of students from all races and economic statuses. This year will be the first year these students have had to take a standardized test.

My Project

My students love having their recess time; however, they need to learn to work better in groups and in organized games. The balls, puzzles, and games I would like to get for my classroom will help my students work better together. We all know that working together is a required skill for being successful in life and this equipment would help my students. Spending time playing games will also allow my students to better concentrate when it is time to get back to instruction. Since this year is their first year for standardized testing it is essential that they are focused during all instruction.

My students have worked very hard this year and deserve some time to play.

Please help my students get their energy out so they can focus better during instruction and learn to work better in teams.
