My Students

My students belong to a self-contained special education classroom in Minnesota. They are a wonderful bunch of kiddos who love to learn and be at school. Throughout the day we work on a variety of skills such as academic, communication, functional, vocational, physical and occupational therapy. We work hard in our classroom but never forget to have a little fun!

Students in my classroom are curious, eager to learn and be part of the school community.

They are in a variety of grades and participate in their general education classrooms as much as possible. We love being part of an awesome school.

My Project

This year our school district has implemented a new math curriculum, Bridges, district-wide for grades K through 5. Part of this program come with intervention curriculum for special education teachers. The kits come with a lot of hands-on materials and visuals to help students of all abilities grow their mathematical knowledge. To fully use this program we need storage and organization tools.

Every student in my classroom have goals related to math concepts.

Having the use of the Bridges intervention curriculum will help work towards those goals and objectives as well as keep up with their peers.

Having the rolling organizers in our classroom will help keep our materials organized and ready to go. One of the organizers will also be utilized for independent math work to help work on independence skills. Overall, the organizers will come in handy on more ways than one!
