My students are energetic, full of life, and they love to learn. They come from various backgrounds, ethnicities, and cultural experiences. Although they have distinctive qualities, one quality supersedes all differences. My students love learning, and they are always interested in learning new things. All my students eat free lunches and come from working class families. Some of my students participate in the Food Backpack program, where they take food home over the weekend. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Not everyone is a neat-freak. My class is a perfect example of that. In general, this isn’t a bad thing. There are, however, some downsides for children who tend to have trouble organizing. In many cases, disorganization leads to lower grades, completing fewer assignments, frustration, and lower self-esteem. These negatives may further contribute to other student issues such as truancy and discipline. Although disorganized students are capable of experiencing many successes in school, there is the potential for their struggles to have a profound negative impact on their future.
The ultimate goal of education from kindergarten through high school is to prepare students for the real world.
Reinforcing the importance of organization helps students experience success throughout their lives. Thankfully, organization is something you learn, with our daily routines we work really hard to be organized.
My students have organization issues, looking in their desk can be a frightening experience. Crumpled assignments and tests, school announcements from two months ago, and tons of lost pencils—it’s a mess! Many people think of organization skills as the ability to keep things in order. But people also use those skills to keep their thoughts in order so they can retrieve information and use it effectively. My students can really benefit from these paper trays and pencil caddies that will help them stay organized in class.
