My Students

My 1st grade classroom is my most favorite place to be in because of the joy and excitement of all my students. My students have eager little minds, and they are ready to learn the minute they walk into the classroom.

My students come from many different backgrounds and have many different home lives.

Their parents do their best to support our school as well as help their children at home whenever possible. The students are happy, smiling, and eager to go home and share what they've learned.

My Project

Flexible seating helps students concentrate and focus on their work or lessons. The student will be able to choose daily what seating type will work best for them. Everyone learns differently and flexible seating with the exercise balls and wobble chairs gives the students say is comfortable and what works best for them.

A 2012 study from the University of Minnesota found that students participated 48 percent more in discussions in a classroom with collaborative group seating versus traditional lecture-style seating, and also improved their performance on standardized tests.

I would like to give my students every opportunity to to succeed.
