Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students have brilliant minds. They come to school each day, ready to learn. They do a lot of cooperative learning projects in class that require partnerships inside and outside of the classroom. Students take on different roles in their groups to give each student the opportunity to take on different responsibilities. They are all at varying levels of language acquisition, literacy, and mathematics. They enjoy the arts and keeping fit. They are motivated learners who are ready to take on challenges and expand their knowledge.
My Project
My students need comfy seating for our reading center. These two cube seats will provide my students with a fun alternative to seating where they could grab a book and buddy and share the love of reading in a fun and welcoming space. The cube seats will provide a space that is inviting and encourages reading. I want to foster a love of reading and help my students to get lost in a fantasy story, solve a mystery and inquire about non-fictional topics that spark their interests. By having these cube seats in our reading center, my students will have an alternative seating area in our class to foster and grow their love of reading.
