I teach in a self-contained, special education classroom for students in third, fourth and fifth grade. My students have a variety of unique needs and abilities that make everyday in the classroom challenging, fun, and amazing all rolled into one! We are currently learning both in person and virtually.
My students work best when provided lots of opportunity and practice to learn and maintain skills.
By having materials both at home and at school, they will have what they need to practice those skills even when not at school.
My Project
Thank you for your interest in helping me provide new books for our Special Education classroom, both for our in person and remote learners. My students are visual learners and respond to stories and new concepts when provided pictures to increase their interest.
The lamination sheets and Velcro will help us make work task folders for the students at home and in person, to work on skills in accordance to their IEP goals.
Thank you for supporting my classroom. It has been a year of changes and challenges, but with community support, it makes things easier.
