My Students

What makes my students special? That's an easy one, my students come from all walks of life, and everyday they are ready to learn.

Imagine sleeping in a shelter because that's the best your mom can do.

Some of my students do that everyday, but still come in with the willingness to do their best! I don't know about you, but seeing some of the places my students have to call home, and then being able to come to school and give it there all is amazing!

My Project

The laptop would make a huge impact on our classroom. We have relied on our laptop for so long that it is no longer working. We use our laptop daily in our math class to do our daily warm up, explore topics, and use our interactive whiteboard.

When the students enter the room, five questions are projected on the screen for them to start their class.

We work together to solve these problems that review previous skills we have learned in the year.

We use the laptop to explore the concepts being taught. We find helpful videos to help us practice the skills. The students find these very informative, and it's a change of pace then just listening to my voice.

The last way we use our laptop is practice our skills we have learned using our interactive whiteboard. The students love being able to engage on games focused on the skills they are being taught. It's a win/win for teacher and student.

These three reasons are why we need a new laptop for our classroom! Without the laptop we will not be able to project our daily warm up, go to online book or other sites, and lastly we wouldn't be able to use our interactive whiteboard that we love! Please consider donating, we would greatly appreciate it.
