Help me give my students Mary Wilson's translation of The Odyssey. Our district has been using the Robert Fagle's translation for many years, and we feel that Wilson's translation will reach more students.

My Students

Myself and Mrs. Seiser are embarking on a co-teaching adventure this upcoming school year. We are combining A and B level 9th grade English classes into one class, in the hopes that teaching students of all abilities in one setting will allow for true inclusive learning to occur.

My Project

Our new co-teaching model is aimed at providing instruction to students of all abilities, in one room. In order to do so, we felt that Mary Wilson's translation of The Odyssey will reach all of our students. This text is written in a way that is better understood by 9th-grade students of mixed abilities. We'll be using the text in conjunction with the 9th-grade literary analysis curriculum to support in-depth analysis of Homer's The Odyssey. Help us revive interest in Odysseus and his adventures!
