My Environmental Science students would like to create a community project to help teach the principles of sustainable development, clean energy, and recycling to younger students.
My students are high energy Seniors that want to leave their school knowing they have made a difference!
The come from a rural area, and enjoy getting involved with their community, and younger students. Our students are very supportive of each other. They motivate each other, and they encourage each other.
My Project
The Seniors are going to make Earth Day games to play with the elementary school. Each student, as a class project, will design a game themed with clean energy, sustainable development, and recycling. Then, they will play these games with a Kindergarten class for Earth Day. Does that sound like fun? Sure does!
Not only will this project motivate our 125 Seniors, but it will impact the Elementary School and community alike.
It will create a sense of ownership to our community and younger students.
