This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I teach twenty-four 3rd graders who have been through a lot this school year. I am their fourth teacher this school year. Stability and consistency was something they were not familiar with until now. My goal is to make sure they continue to have this until the end of the school year along with them excelling in their academics.
They are preparing for their state test next month and are working hard.
Some have even taken advantage of the tutoring program offered.
My Project
The materials will help the students get through the school year smoothly by not needing certain items. We have been able to hold on this far and just need a few more items to get us through. Pencils and copy paper are a daily need in our room! Having these items will cut down on the interruptions during instructional time where we usually have to locate pencils for students. The snacks and juice will help them get through these long class days and especially once they come back in from recess.
We will greatly appreciate anything that is given to us.
