Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have the privilege of spending each day with 29 amazing and bright children. They are excited to learn, kind, and make me want to be a better teacher. Their smiles light up my world and their love for learning is what drives me to be the best that I can be. Many of my students come from a low, socioeconomic home and a large percentage speak Spanish as their primary language.
My goal is for every student in my class to have the tools to become successful.
With your help, you will fulfill this goal for not only the 25 fantastic students I currently have, but for the many kids who will continue to walk through my classroom door each year.
My Project
My students need new whiteboard materials so that they can work independently and in small groups on problems in all subject areas. The white boards allow me to quickly see who is understanding a concept and who needs more help.
Having individual materials allows students to take ownership and responsibility over their work.
This project would allow each student access to their own whiteboard that they can use at any time to help them solve problems, practice, and show their work. My students love to work on whiteboards and they deserve to have one of their very own! Thank you in advance for your generosity.
