We need your help expanding the visibility of our artwork. Students can use a display wall to add a new dynamic to their artwork. By showing two and three-dimensional pieces, our students will get the feel of a professional gallery viewing.
The New York Times designated our district as the most culturally diverse school district in the United States.
Students from our school were born in 68 different countries and speak 41 different languages. Some people may see this as a challenge, but at our school, this diversity is our strength. This provides us with the opportunity to learn about the many countries, cultures and languages of the people who walk our halls. I am fortunate to be a part of such a unique community that feels more like a family than a school.
My Project
In order to display student artwork quickly and more easily, we need a Flourish Mesh Panel Display Wall with s-hooks and clips. It is ideal for displaying our student’s paintings, drawings and three-dimensional sculptures in the hallway for people to view, but it is also a great addition for the classroom itself. I envision us using the display wall to hold classroom discussions and critiques of students’ work as it is in the process of being created and after it is completed. Students would be able to view multiple pieces at one time and give feedback and guidance to the artist. For example, we could hang one student’s entire portfolio of work for a complete summary of their progress. I could also use the display wall to hang visual aids, maps, graphs, and other types of posters to show students during lessons.
My students need a Flourish Mesh Panel Display Wall with s-hooks and clips to help expand art’s exposure in our school.
Our school does an excellent job of displaying trophies, plaques, homecoming photos and banners. With this display board, students’ artwork will be on view for all to see along with the school’s other accolades. Passersby will gain an appreciation for art aesthetics while increasing their perspective on what happens in an art classroom.
