My students need a laminating machine and accompanying laminating pouches to help them preserve their amazing digital creations and assists in the preservation of some necessary learning materials that require lasting durability.
My students are energetic Pre-K - 6th-grade students who come into my classroom every day full of excitement and ready to learn. Despite the fact that my students are growing up in a high-poverty rural town, they are excited to learn and achieve and are full believers in the age-old saying "you can be anything you want to be when you grow up".
There are few things more rewarding than seeing such a passion for learning.
My students have a true zest for life and learning! It is my hope that through the continued use of hands-on STEM learning, they will continue to feel enthusiastic about education, and work hard to pursue their dreams!
My Project
My students are products of the digital age, and in my STEM classroom, they are busy creating amazing digital masterpieces! Students take such pride in their work, and a laminating machine would help me help my students preserve the digital creations that they have worked so hard to create. Students have been busy this year creating recycling posters, comic book pages, movie theater posters, and more! A laminating machine would allow them to add an extra layer of protection to these amazing works of digital art.
My students also use an interactive STEM curriculum that often requires printed materials to be used over and over again.
Because we do not currently have an option that helps make our classroom materials more durable, our printed components end up quickly torn and tattered, needing to be reprinted. A laminating machine would ensure that students are able to use our printed materials over and over again with no issues and reduce the number of printed pages that need produced each year.
