My students need a photo printer to create classroom books, projects, and for student work portfolios.

Do you remember when you were in pre-k and you wished your life was a fairytale? You had dreams of being a superhero or a character in a book. I would love to help my students create their own happy endings by creating class books with them as the star!
My students are shining stars with a story of their own to tell.
They have wild imaginations and an excitement for learning. I try to make my classroom a place where the students can escape from their own harsh realities and be the star of their own show, where everything can be as fun, lively, and exciting as the books we read in class. Our school is a modular unit which opened 2 years after Katrina hit and destroyed the neighborhood. We are trying to give our students the best education we can, with what we have.
With this printer I will be able to help my students create their own happy ending. I would like to use this printer to print pictures of my students to create numerous class books to keep in our class library. We will use it to create class projects, such as bulletin boards, presents for holidays, and picture walls. Access to a photo printer in the classroom would allow my students the freedom to pick which pictures they would like to see on our wall and which pictures to put in their student work portfolio. I love to document all of the fun activities that our class does throughout the year, but as of right now I have no access to a color printer in our classroom. The printer will not only help my present students, but many students to come.
By donating to this project you will give each student the opportunity to feel like a star.
You will give each student a chance to create their own story and write their own happy ending. My students will develop a sense of self worth, as well as self confidence, by being the main character in the story. This is a great way to encourage reading and will be an experience that the children will always be able to look back on. Help me create 20 STARS!
