I am a Special Education teacher in a Third grade Integrated Co-Teach Class where there are special education students learning alongside general education students.
Our students DESERVE a healthy, calm, pleasant and organized learning environment!
With an average of 30 students, it is a constant struggle to keep the classroom clean and organized, and ensure that everyone stays healthy!
Our school consists of culturally and linguistically diverse students within a low socio-economic community. Our special education students have been diagnosed with various exceptionalities which include learning difficulties, speech impairments, ADHD, Autism, and sensory issues.
My Project
Unfortunately, our class doesn’t always smell clean and fresh! Students miss an inordinate amount of school days due to allergens and other illnesses. An air purifier will help improve the air quality and keep everyone healthier, and the wax melts and salt lamp will keep the room smelling pleasant and inviting.
Please help us create a calm, pleasant, healthy and organized learning environment which will no doubt increase learning and enhance their time in the classroom!
The supplies caddies will be used at each student table group and will contain writing pencils, colored pencils, markers, crayons, glue sticks, and scissors, and will help our students take an increased ownership and responsibility over their classroom environment!
