This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Would you like to always sit up and read in your desk? Help my students by donating the items to give us a cozy reading area so we can get comfortable, stretch from out of our seats, and most importantly read our favorite books!

My students attend a wonderful and challenging public school in Chicago.

They are 6-7th grade students who love to read! I am a first year teacher trying as much as possible to expand my library. The six beanbag chairs and rug would be the final icing on the cake!

My Project

By donating these items, my students will be more encouraged to read in our nice area. They can find reading both comfortable and relaxing. I want to be able to offer them their very own classroom library to sit in and enjoy their books. My goal is to motivate students and attract them to the love and comfort of books!

These donations will positively affect my students' everyday learning.

We will be able to all sit down together in the reading corner to discuss books, have literature circle talks, and silent reading. It will brighten up and make our classroom more inviting to others and also make students feel more at home.
