Help me give my students a brand new bookshelf to complete our classroom library!
My first grade students come from various backgrounds from inner-city Philadelphia. My students are very hardworking and motivated to learn all the time. They absolutely love hands-on activities, reading, and any project that allows them to be challenged while being creative. They have so much potential to be awesome readers, writers, and mathematicians, and I am hoping that with a little extra push they will all be successful and remember their first grade class as the best class they ever had!
Our classroom library is almost finished! When we started this school year, we made it our goal to redo our classroom library.
Our old bookshelves are metal, rusty, and crooked!
Not only were they ugly, but they were definitely a safety hazard. Kids have bumped and scraped themselves on these selves throughout the year.
We have been fortunate enough, with the help of Donors like you, to replace two of those old bookshelves, and to get a bunch of great new books. We have just one more shelf that needs to be replaced! My students and I would be SO EXCITED if we were able to replace that last, old, metal shelf with a beautiful wooden book nook for our students!
DonorsChoose makes it easy for anyone to help a classroom in need. Public school teachers from every corner of America create classroom project requests, and you can give any amount to the project that inspires you.
