My students are loving, kind and see in the best in everyone. I teach in Washington State in a self contained special education setting. My students enjoy art, reading and exploring the world around. Each of my students has their unique set of needs that need to be addressed in the classroom.
My students are super special and deserve the best out their.
As their teacher and advocate I feel it my responsibility to get them what they deserve and iPads are a great way for them to further their learning.
My little learners are learning to interact and explore the world around them. They are learning to communicate with adults and their peers. Many of the students in my classroom have Autism and are non-verbal. iPad applications are extremely innovative in helping non-verbal learners communicate and express themselves. Not only this but iPad applications can help teacher basic reading, writing and math skills.
iPads open up a whole world of opportunities for special education students.
My students who can’t communicate the correct answer could select it on the iPad. They could select words to say and the iPad would say it out loud for them. An iPad would be amazing for my staff, students and I!
