Help me give my students the latest iPad to help enhance their learning.

31 amazing second grade students will continue their journey in a two way/dual immersion - Spanish Program in San Clemente this year! 50% of the students are English only speakers while the other 50% are native Spanish speakers.
Each one of my students has a story, many facing adversity from socio-economic, cultural, language and varying challenging home circumstances.
Nonetheless, each of my students possess limitless possibilities to become successful bilingual & bi-literate students; establishing their imprint in this world. I have the privilege of introducing and ultimately shaping the lives of my students in a positive way. I do not take this responsibility lightly. Some of my students have had preschool or TK experience while others have not. Some of my students are raised by both parents while others are raised by single parents. Some of my students have their basic needs met from a socio-economic perspective while others struggle. Yet, despite the differences in the makeup of my students we are placed under one roof to grow and learn from each other and that to me is something very special.
A Majority of my students come from low income families who do not have access to the latest technology. As a result their digital navigation skills are extremely low.
By gifting my students the latest iPad, you will help them have access to numerous learning apps to help them progress with their reading fluency as well as math facts.
Some of the apps that the students will be able to access are RAZKids, STMath, and PBSKids.org. These are just a few examples of the multitude of learning apps that can help support our struggling learners.
In order to better prepare of 21st century learners, we need to expose them to the technology that is currently being used across professions. By equipping them with these skills, they will feel confident and prepared to enter the work force.
