My Students

My students are very eager 6 year olds at a low-income school with a high ELL population that always have a smile on their face and are ready for the day's adventures. Our school is one of our district's highest-poverty schools. Ninety-seven percent of students qualify for free or reduced-price lunch. These students amaze me every day with what they pick up from the previous days.

I am so proud of my students and I know you would be too!

At our school, we are revamping the school for the fall with being a participant of the 75 North project with a heavy focus on science, technology, engineering, art and math (STEAM). Our school is part of a fellowship with Purpose Built Schools based out of Atlanta.

My Project

Have you ever had to charge 15+ iPads at once? You can imagine the craziness it entails.

I often hear things such as, "I can't find a plug in.", "My iPad didn't charge.”, and "That's my charger."

I am wanting a charging station for the classroom, to help keep everything and everyone organized. We are very lucky to be 1-to-1 with technology and we use our iPads for many educational subjects such as reading, math, writing, grammar, science, social studies, and the list goes on.

This project will ensure iPads are charged and ready for the students to use at school and home.
