My Students

I work with a great bunch of kids! The fifth-grade students in my class fall under the description of gifted and talented. They have applied to and been accepted into our academy. This academy is a self-contained classroom-based program designed to meet the unique educational and social/emotional needs of gifted children in grades 4-8 who have exceptional academic skills. It provides highly rigorous content at an accelerated pace. I must keep these profoundly gifted children challenged. They have so many interests, hobbies, and learning styles. I am excited to provide these great kids with all the resources needed to challenge them and keep them focused and learning. These boys and girls have tremendous potential, and I am their guide. Together I guide them through advanced curriculum and we love it! Thank you for considering us and our proposals for your donations! We appreciate it!

My Project

We have many math needs in our classroom that require calculators. However, our set of classroom calculators is getting old, and it seems every time we get them out to use them, one more has bit the dust! We would love some new ones!

This proposal is for a set of Texas Instruments TI-15 Explorer Elementary Calculators that can be used in our classroom that are reliable.

We use them in our large group math lessons, as well as in our individual work. It would be incredibly helpful to start off in the fall with some new ones that I know are going to work when we get them out!
